TWO CONTRASTING SONGS
•Select from the following Musical Theatre styles:
-Golden Age/Operetta
-Jazz Standard
-Contemporary/Modern
-Pop/Rock
•Both songs must be memorized
•Must sing to musical accompaniment — no a cappella
•Voice auditions must be accompanied
Monologues
ONE CONTEMPORARY MONOLOGUE, 1 min
•Memorized contemporary monologue
•Approximately 1 minute in length

•Step 2: Submit Undergraduate Audition Application to schedule your audition

•Part of the Alabama School of the Arts (ASOTA) within the Department of Theatre
What's The Process
AUDITION FORMAT
•In-person audition on campus is standard
•Auditions may be scheduled weekly (Monday through Thursday) upon approval from the ASOTA office
•Video submissions considered only for candidates unable to come to campus due to extreme distance or extenuating circumstances
VIDEO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
•Upload recording to YouTube or Vimeo (YouTube: Public or Unlisted, not Private)
•Must include video — no audio-only recordings
•One continuous, unedited video
•Begin facing the camera and introduce yourself and the piece(s)
•Voice auditions must be accompanied — no a cappella
•Recorded auditions must be submitted no later than midnight on March 22

Scholarship Info
•All ASOTA students automatically considered for talent-based scholarships
•Awards up to $25,000 annually
•Based on university admission, ASOTA acceptance, and audition performance
