•Requires a separate, free university application via Common App or the UMSL website
Program Notes
•Leads to State of Missouri K-12 teacher licensure (MOGEA, MOCA, and MEES candidate-level exams)
•Upon acceptance, students enroll in a large ensemble compatible with the certification track they pursue — University Singers for vocal/choral certification, or Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, or Orchestra for instrumental certification
Placement
•Admitted students take a music theory and aural-skills placement exam at orientation — for course placement only, not admission
