Audition Process
•Live audition on campus strongly recommended for full scholarship consideration
•Video audition available by request (email cadmissions@umkc.edu for approval)
•Full scholarship consideration may not be available for video auditions
•Arrive at least 30 minutes early to check in at the front desk
Virtual Audition Video
•Ballet combination (demonstration video provided after application)
•Modern combination (demonstration video provided after application)
•Modern exercise (demonstration video provided after application)
•One minute of improvisational dance
•Optional: pointe combination
•Optional: recent solo (no group works)
•Dress code: leotard and tights (male candidates may wear T-shirt or leotard with tights, footless OK for contemporary modern)
•All audition videos must be received by March 6, 2026

Transfer Students
•Transfer students with fewer than 24 credit hours follow freshman application requirements
•Transfer students with 24 or more credit hours submit official transcripts from each institution attended
