Training
•Bullet: 18-credit, six-course curriculum: Introduction to Cinema Studies (CINE 101), one history course — History of International Cinema: Origins to 1945 or 1945–present — and 12 credits of electives spanning screenwriting, production, and criticism, with at least one 300- or 400-level course and one non-US cinema focus (options include Asian, European, Latin American, African, and experimental cinema)
•Bullet: Minimum 2.0 GPA across minor coursework; no more than one course may be taken pass/fail; at least four courses must be completed at UMass Boston
•Bullet: Directed by Sarah Keller, PhD, Professor of Art & Art History, with Marco Natoli, PhD, Senior Lecturer, serving as Interim Director

•Bullet: Students pursue film and media internships in the Boston area and beyond, or study cinema abroad
