Training
•Instrumental Performance includes 8 semester hours of applied instrumental study in areas such as piano, woodwinds, brass, drum set, strings, bass, guitar, or advanced applied study
•Music core includes history, world music, theory, music technology, and senior project work
Performance & Productions
•Students complete instrumental ensemble work through options such as Latin Music: Cajon Band, Guitar Ensemble, Salsa and Latin Jazz Ensemble, World Drum Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Music, and Orchestra
•Additional ensemble participation supports cross-genre performance experience
Degree Flexibility
•Four semester hours of upper-division music electives let students shape the concentration around instrument and career goals
