•Bullet: The 17-hour minor adds a dedicated production core to the same music-theory foundation used by the Music minor: MUS 223 Introduction to Sound Production and MUS 323 Designing Sound, backed by a theory-sequence choice (MUS 115, or MUS 111 plus MUS 113), two semester hours of MUS 399/MUS 499 applied lessons, and one music history/culture elective.

•Bullet: The sound-production core runs inside the Department of Music and Theatre's own studio curriculum, distinct from the Department of Communication's video/broadcast sequence used by the Media Production minor.
