What's The Process

AUDITION PROCESS

•Audition required for departmental admission; no student may declare any music major without this audition

•Audition also determines scholarship eligibility

•Complete the Basic Musicianship Evaluation (brief test of rudimentary music skills)

•Piano placement audition also required (proficiency not required for admission)

AUDITION FORMAT

•In-person by appointment on Audition Days

•Zoom audition by appointment on Audition Days

•URL submitted through Music Department Application (last resort)

IMPORTANT DATES

•November 22: 1st deadline for department review

•January 24: 2nd deadline for department review

•February 28: final deadline for scholarship consideration

•May 1: NASM binding date for undergraduates

•Auditions before February 28 qualify for scholarship consideration

•The earlier you audition, the more likely scholarship funds will be available

•Scholarship consideration included in departmental audition process
