ELIGIBILITY
•Open to incoming freshmen and transfer students
•Current UCSD students can change major through TritonLink without a portfolio
OPTIONAL PORTFOLIO CONTENTS
•1-minute video OR written statement (350 words max) answering: "What sparks your passion and curiosity about this artistic field?"
•1-3 examples of your work (images, text up to 800 words, or videos up to 3 minutes combined)
•List and briefly describe each item; note if work is original or collaborative
•Professional quality not expected — submissions should be clear and in focus
•Submit only ONE portfolio in your preferred area of study
What's The Process
ADMISSION PROCESS
•No audition required — admission is through the UC Application
•Optional art portfolio/audition video may enhance your overall application
•Theatre and Dance faculty review portfolios and share evaluations with Admissions Committee
OPTIONAL PORTFOLIO SUBMISSION
•Submission window: October 1 – December 8
•Must submit UC Application first to receive the portfolio submission link
•Select Dance as your first/preferred major on your UCSD application
•All submissions are online — no live auditions
