Audition Process
•Bullet: Same-day information session and callbacks conducted after each audition day for selected candidates
•Bullet: May be asked to present a third monologue and 16 bars of a song
•Bullet: Faculty may also work with one or both original selections
•Bullet: Roughly 16-20 finalists invited to a virtual callback weekend on Zoom in early March 2027 (exact date TBD)
•Bullet: Finalists audition for the full faculty, meet current students, and participate in workshops and information sessions
•Bullet: Final selection made at the conclusion of the callback weekend
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: 7-minute in-person audition with acting faculty
•Bullet: Present two contrasting monologues
•Bullet: Auditions held in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and San Diego from mid-January through early February, plus a live Zoom audition day
•Bullet: If unable to audition in person, contact Head of Acting Stephen Buescher to discuss potential options
•Bullet: International applicants who cannot audition in person or on Zoom may submit a recorded self-tape in lieu of auditioning: headshot, resume, two contrasting audition pieces, and sixteen bars of a song
