Submission Requirements

Optional Art Portfolio/Audition Video

Submit a 1-minute video OR a written statement of 350 words max

Respond to the prompt about what sparks your passion and curiosity about Theatre or Dance

Submit 1-3 examples of work in your area of interest

Examples may include images, text up to 800 words, or videos up to 3 minutes total

List and briefly describe each item; note original or collaborative work

Application Logistics

Submit the UC Application before accessing the optional portfolio/audition video portal

Portfolio website opens October 1 and closes December 8

Select Dance as your first/preferred major on the UCSD application to receive the submission link

Submit only one portfolio in your preferred area of study

Eligibility

Optional portfolio/audition video is for incoming freshmen and transfer students interested in the Dance major

Current UCSD students can change major through TritonLink without a portfolio

All optional portfolio materials are submitted online
