•Fall 2027 undergraduate applications open October 1, 2026

•Fall 2027 Dance and BMus artistic deadlines and audition dates have not yet been published; the artistic requirements below remain tagged to Fall 2026

Application Logistics

•Apply through UCalgary undergraduate admissions; domestic applicants begin with ApplyAlberta

•Submit the BMus audition application form after the general application

•The university application fee is paid with the admission application

Theory Requirement

•BMus applicants must satisfy the music theory requirement through RCM/ABRSM proof, the online theory diagnostic, or MUSI 209

•Theory work affects music-course registration and is not an audition gateway

What's The Process

Audition Process

•Select in-person or video audition in the UCalgary application

•In-person auditions are preferred

•Video audition is available when the home address is more than 150 km from the University of Calgary

•Auditioned students are assessed on technique, performance, talent, potential, and musicality

•Sight-reading and technique may be included as part of the audition

•Music for the adjudicating panel is not required
