Prepare repertoire at RCM Grade VIII level unless the audition page names a higher level for the instrument

Application Logistics

Apply to BMus in Performance through UCalgary undergraduate admissions

Submit the BMus audition application form after the general application

Accordion auditions are listed in the BMus entrance audition schedule

What's The Process

Audition Process

Select in-person or video audition in the UCalgary application

In-person auditions are preferred

Video audition is available when the home address is more than 150 km from the University of Calgary

Auditioned students are assessed on technique, performance, talent, potential, and musicality

Accompaniment

Auditions may be accompanied or unaccompanied where appropriate and feasible

Sight-reading and technique may be included as part of the audition

Music for the adjudicating panel is not required
