Training
•Bullet: The 21-credit Dance minor combines Dance Appreciation, Theory and Improvisation, Approaches to Dance Composition and interdisciplinary study of dance issues and methods.
•Bullet: Theatrical Production Techniques gives dancers practical knowledge of how performance is supported and staged.
Performance & Composition
•Bullet: An Advanced Practicum in Performance places two credits of the minor in upper-level performance experience.
•Bullet: Students choose four technique or repertory credits from Contemporary Modern I or II, Dance for Musical Theatre I, and Dance Repertory and Performance I. The sequence therefore joins critical study, improvisation, composition, production and performance rather than concentrating on technique alone.
