•Six-course, 12-credit sequence: Introduction to Music Technology, Survey of the Music Business, Digital Composition, Recording Techniques, Advanced Recording Techniques and Music Production
•Curriculum covers MIDI, sequencing, microphone technique, mixing, scoring for film, advertising and video games, critical listening, music publishing, copyright and promotion
Facilities
•Taught in UNC’s music technology complex: a professional recording studio, a 30-station computer lab with current music software, and two project studios open to students for recording, editing and pre/post-production
Degree Flexibility
•Designed for music students but open to other disciplines with program-director approval
