•46-50 music credits within the 120-credit BA: music in world cultures, advanced music history and cultural-studies electives, with music theory and aural skills offered in classical or Jazz & Latin sequences
•Applied lessons on a primary instrument or voice and ensemble participation continue through the degree — a footing for graduate study in musicology or ethnomusicology
Performance & Productions
•Open access to campus music-making, from the Latin Beat Ensemble and vocal jazz groups to choirs, bands and the UNC Symphony Orchestra

•Five recording and music production studios and a 30-station MIDI computer lab, with Avid Pro Tools certification available
