Training
•The 32-credit Conducting (Choral) concentration requires prior undergraduate conducting, two semesters of diction covering German and/or French, vocal study, and collegiate choral-ensemble experience. Deficiencies may be completed at UNCG but do not count toward the graduate degree.
•The curriculum combines 8 credits of Performance Studies with four credits selected from Spartan Voices, Spartan Voices II, University Chorale, or Chamber Singers, plus Principles of Vocal Pedagogy and secondary keyboard or vocal study.
Performance & Productions
•Students complete a conducting recital and take Seminar in Choral Literature twice with varying topics, alongside graduate research and theory study.
