•Offered by UNCG's School of Dance, accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD) since 2000.
Training
•Three-year, in-residence MFA with the Choreography concentration, requiring 60 credit hours.
•Develops choreographic practice, dance scholarship, research methods, and somatic practices, culminating in a student-designed dance choreography project supported by faculty.
•Designed to prepare graduates for professional dance careers and for teaching dance in higher education.

•Melanie Greene — 2017 Bessie Award recipient for Outstanding Performance with Skeleton Architecture (MFA Choreography, 2013).

Value
•The majority of School of Dance graduate students are fully funded for their entire residency.
•A limited number of Research and Teaching Assistantships provide tuition remission plus a stipend.
