Training
•Interdisciplinary BA degree using the arts as a medium for social justice, collaborative change, and community empowerment
•Broad-based approach with a strong core in acting, directing, stagecraft, play script analysis, theatre history, and dramatic literature
•Courses available in performance, design, technical production, theatre management, theatre for young audiences, and theatre studies
•Students may supplement with minors, second majors, or study abroad
Performance & Productions
•UNCG Theatre, North Carolina Theatre for Young People, and Theatre 232 (summer theatre) provide public production opportunities
•Department participates annually in the American College Theatre Festival
•Department sponsors a spring tour of an NC Theatre for Young People production to schools
•Senior capstone projects provide in-depth opportunities for study and practice
