Program Recognition
•Joint minor between the Department of Music and Department of Dramatic Art, training acting literacy, music literacy, and movement literacy across 15 credit hours
•Three tracks: Music Track (for dramatic art majors or non-voice music majors), Dramatic Track (for music majors), and Hybrid Track (for double majors or other disciplines)
Training
•All students take DRAM/MUSC 151: Introduction to the American Stage Musical
•Music Track requires 4+ hours each in voice lessons/music theory and dance/movement; Dramatic Track requires 4+ hours each in acting and movement
•Faculty advisors: LaToya Lain (Music) and David Navalinsky (Dramatic Art)
Performance & Productions
•Students gain performance experience through departmental productions with PlayMakers Repertory Company and Kenan Theatre Company, and student musical theatre groups
