Program Recognition
•Bachelor of Arts in Music is a liberal-arts degree requiring 35–45 music credit hours within a 120-hour degree, built around creative endeavor and critical inquiry through courses, ensembles, and lessons
•Curriculum includes Foundations in Music, Improvisation Without Borders, two music theory courses, and a Critical Approaches to Music seminar, plus 2–6 hours of individual or group lessons and 4 hours of required ensemble performance

•Voice studio led by Jeanne Fischer (Area Head); Timothy Sparks directs UNC Opera and Susan Klebanow directs Choral Activities

•Ensemble options include UNC Symphony Orchestra, UNC Wind Ensemble, UNC Opera, Choral Ensembles, Jazz Band & Combos, and UNC Guitar Ensemble
