•The Music Industry minor pairs recording-industry history and Audio Production/Studio Techniques coursework with performance in large and small ensembles across classical, jazz, and songwriting styles
•The program has partnered with Media Integration Studies, combining music, graphic design, digital video, and animation in a student-centered studio environment
Performance & Productions
•Faculty contacts include Dr. Aaron Vandermeer (Jazz Studies and Music Industry) and Dr. Garrison Gerard (Music Industry); students auditioning on electronics as a primary instrument can join the Electronic Music Ensemble or Commercial Music Ensemble
Facilities
•Students train in the UNCP Project Studio, a recording facility in Moore Hall built around MOTU Digital Performer, Waves plug-ins, and professional microphones and outboard gear

•Music scholarships are available to new and returning music minors based on talent, academics, and involvement
