Training
•The Music minor is open to students in any major and covers theory, history, and performance, with weekly private lessons available to minors and non-majors (30-minute lessons for 1 credit)
•Minors study with the same studio faculty as BA Music majors, including Dr. Jaeyoon Kim and Dr. Piper Pack-Smith (voice), Dr. Mark Tollefsen (keyboard), Dr. Tim Altman (brass/woodwinds), and department chair Dr. Joseph Van Hassel (percussion)
Performance & Productions
•Minors can join ensembles including University Orchestra, University Band, Pembroke Singers, University Chorale, and Spirit of the Carolinas, UNCP's marching band
Facilities
•Moore Hall houses faculty studios, Steinway and Boston grand pianos, a 16-station Roland keyboard lab, and the UNCP Project Studio recording facility
