•Provides a foundation in musical principles with room for focused exploration through elective coursework, distinct from the Applied Emphasis's required one-on-one lesson track

•Coursework is based out of Ferguson Hall, the School of Music's Minneapolis home, with performances at Ted Mann Concert Hall, dedicated 1993
