Training
•The 12-credit Performance and Choreography emphasis includes Choreography III and Modern Repertory, plus advanced modern dance, partnering, somatics, repertory, and special-topics options
•Students in this emphasis are expected to enroll in technique every semester and move work from classroom study toward performance
•The BA core combines modern dance, ballet, choreography, global movement practices, history, theory, and production experience
Performance & Productions
•Students can audition for faculty, guest-artist, and student choreography, share works in monthly open showings, and present projects in informal workshops or fully mounted concerts on and off campus
•Visiting artists contribute master classes and workshops, while The Clarice provides multiple venues for performance and interdisciplinary collaboration
Professional Development
•Dance advising integrates the emphasis, project-based learning, internships, study abroad, and the required midpoint portfolio assessment into each student's academic plan
