Audition Process
•Sign up for an on-campus or online audition date via the Music Department Google Form
•You may register for and perform an audition before being accepted by the university
•Acceptance into Music degrees is contingent on UMD admission, Music program acceptance, a successful audition, placement-exam completion, and departmental interview
Audition Expectations
•Perform before a panel of faculty members
•Auditions are offered on campus and online for 2026-2027
•Requirements vary by desired degree program, instrument, or voice
•Dress professionally as you would for a formal job interview
