•Conservatory-level training from first semester in ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, choreography, and dance pedagogy
•Small, intimate program — instructors know each student personally and tailor training to individual goals
•Senior Capstone project prepares students for professional dance careers
PERFORMANCE & PRODUCTIONS
•Perform on stage every semester starting first year
•Fall: State of LA Danse (faculty and guest works)
•Spring: An Evening of Dance (student choreographers take the lead)
•Collaborations with Opera, Music, Theatre, and Visual Art programs
GUEST ARTISTS & MASTERCLASSES
•National and international guest artists including alumni of Alvin Ailey, Parsons Dance, Urban Bush Women, and Houston Metropolitan Opera
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
•Students travel to American College Dance Association Conference to perform original works
•Internship opportunities including the American Dance Festival
•Graduates perform professionally in New York City, Houston, Hollywood, Las Vegas, and Orlando
STUDY ABROAD
•Study abroad options in Costa Rica, England, France, and Italy for class credit
