Audition Expectations
•Remote auditions are not available for Indiana residents — in-state students must audition on campus
•Out-of-state and international students may email music@uindy.edu for remote options
•Performance of two contrasting vocal pieces
•Scales, sight-reading, and/or interval patterns and melodic sequences for theory placement
•Interview with Music Department faculty
•Theory and ear training placement evaluations
•Full-day event from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET (lunch provided)
•Audition time assigned at morning check-in
•Includes campus activities beyond the audition
•School-provided accompanist available at no cost — request when scheduling
•You may also bring your own accompanist
Decisions
•Results emailed within one to two weeks after audition
