•Bullet: The DMA in Conducting offers emphases in Choral, Orchestral, Wind, and Jazz Conducting under a faculty with a combined total of over 100 years of professional and educational conducting experience, including Franz Krager (Adeeb and Adeeba Hourani Endowed Professor of Conducting), David Bertman (Director of Bands), and Anthony Maglione (Director of Choral Studies)
•Bullet: Doctoral conductors study conducting philosophy, score analysis, and instrumental or vocal pedagogy, preparing graduates to teach conducting at the collegiate level
•Bullet: Students work directly with the school's award-winning choral, wind, jazz, and orchestral ensembles, and gain access to Houston's professional music scene, including the Houston Symphony, Houston Grand Opera, and Houston Ballet
