Application Logistics
•Apply to UH Mānoa university admission first
•Submit the separate Music Department application through Mākālei
•Music Department acceptance cannot be considered until the university application is submitted
•Music Department fall applications are due April 15; scholarship consideration is due February 1
•Spring music applications are due September 15
Eligibility
•UH Mānoa admits transfer applicants with 24 or more transferable credits; professional programs may require additional department prerequisites
Education Gateway
•Students normally begin under BA Music, then apply to the College of Education after about two years of coursework
•The College of Education review includes file and transcript review, examinations, and a personal interview
