Program Structure
•Twenty-four-credit minor designed for students who want documented expertise in dance
•Curriculum combines foundational study, progressive technique, performance, choreography, and dance education
Training
•Students choose two Level One and two Level Two courses from ballet, contemporary dance with Hawaiʻi themes, jazz, and modern dance
•Required coursework includes Intro to Dance, Choreography, and Dance in Education
•Performance study is completed through Dance Ensemble or Dance Hawaiʻi Performance Group
Performance Experience
•Students participate in end-of-semester performance showcases
•Every course applied to the minor requires a grade of C or higher
