•Bullet: Students choosing the Musical Theatre focus within the flexible BA Theatre Studies major can take MUSC 345 — History of Theater: American Musical Theater — as a Theatre Studies Restricted Elective, alongside the shared Theatre Studies Core (THEA 104, THEA 126, THEA 141) and technique courses in acting, voice and speech, and stage movement.

Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Musical Theatre-focus students can perform with UD Lyric Theatre, the School of Music's resident company, which the school states "produces two fully staged operas each year with orchestra in the original language" plus a Lyric Theatre Workshop for new works and individual scenes.
