Training
•BA Film and Media Studies combines focused study in film, television, digital media history and theory, critical writing, screenwriting, and selected production with UCSB’s broader research-university resources.
•Students develop critical, historical, technical, and creative skills through sequenced coursework and faculty mentorship.
Opportunities
•Campus productions, ensembles, screenings, laboratories, internships, independent projects, and Santa Barbara arts organizations provide practical experience.
•Students may pursue honors, research, professional preparation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
