Training
•The TFDP minor totals 20 units: three core courses (TFDP 100, 101, 109), 4 units from a production course (TFDP 170-175), and a 4-unit upper-division elective from either the Literature/History/Criticism area or the Performance/Design/Screenwriting/Technology area
•Unlike the BA major's six specialized tracks, the minor follows one unified structure — a single introductory path through performing-arts literature, performance, and design rather than a chosen concentration
•Minor students take courses alongside TFDP majors and can work with department faculty including Professor Kimberly Guerrero (HBO Max's "IT: Welcome to Derry"), scenic designer Christopher Scott Murillo (named "Scenic Designer of the Year"), and filmmaker Christophe Katrib (Best Experimental Film, UFVA conference)
Facilities
•Production coursework gives minors access to University Theatre and Arts Building production spaces alongside TFDP majors
