•The Dance minor requires 30 units: 14 lower-division (DNCE 014 Introduction to Choreography, DNCE 019 Introduction to Dance Studies, plus 6 units of movement practice chosen from styles including Hip Hop, Modern, Ballet, Jazz, West African, and Latin American Social Dance) and 16 upper-division units chosen from roughly 15 courses spanning Dance Making, gender and sexuality, Dance Race Property, Hip Hop Collectivity and Change, screen choreography, and production lab
•Faculty Undergraduate Advisor Professor Jose Luis Reynoso (Bello) advises minors on electives, scheduling conflicts, department funding, performance opportunities, and professional development
Performance & Productions
•Dance minors can perform in UCR is Dancing, the department's annual student choreography concert, and in Spring Forward student performance projects alongside BA Dance majors
