Training
•Performance-based capstone path focused on choreography, creative practice, and dance making
•Students complete Dance Making coursework plus movement practice across hip hop, modern, ballet, jazz, West African, house, capoeira, somatics, yoga, and Latin American social dance
•Faculty are nationally and internationally recognized artists and scholars across choreography, performance, street dance, diasporic dance, Indigenous studies, and performance studies
Performance & Productions
•Capstone work can culminate in UCR is Dancing, the department annual student choreography concert
•Additional performance opportunities include Spring Forward and the Gluck Fellows undergraduate touring ensemble
Professional Development
•Visiting professional dancers, choreographers, and scholars offer workshops, master classes, and lectures
•Eligible students can pursue Marius de Brabant Scholarship support, Gluck Fellowships, assistantships, and undergraduate research grants
