PROGRAM DESIGN

Flexible, individualized path designed for multi-hyphenate artists (director-dramaturg, playwright-deviser, producer-actor, stage manager-producer, teaching artist-theatre maker)
Students design their own plan of study in close collaboration with an advisor
Senior capstone project showcasing development of skills and unique artistic voice

PRODUCTIONS & OPPORTUNITIES

Extensive production experience through Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT)
Opportunities for stage managers, assistant directors, dramaturgs, and creative leadership roles
Students direct and produce original work in student-led projects
May audition for CRT and student productions, and can apply as assistant designers

INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH

Courses in psychology, art, history, music, political science, human rights, communications, and digital media alongside theatre
Especially valued by students pursuing a minor, double major, or dual degree
Skills in critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and effective communication — highly transferable
