Training
•Bullet: Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Performance within UCO's NASM-accredited School of Music; students choose an area of study in Piano or in Woodwind, Brass, Percussion and Strings
•Bullet: Curriculum spans music theory, aural skills, music history survey, principles of conducting, and wind/percussion or piano pedagogy across 124 credit hours, taught through one-on-one studio lessons and two required junior/senior recitals
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Performance placement from the first semester in ensembles including the UCO Symphony Orchestra, UCO Chamber Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and the "Stampede of Sound" Marching Band
•Bullet: The Wind Symphony has performed at regional and national conferences, on the Carnegie Hall stage, completed a tour of Germany, and recorded several albums on the Equilibrium label
Facilities
•Bullet: UCO's "All-Steinway School" designation gives students access to Steinway pianos alongside Yamaha Clavinova digital keyboards and a MIDI Lab with 11 Macintosh workstations running Pro Tools, Finale, and SmartMusic
•Bullet: Recitals are recorded and archived through the School of Music's Audio and Production Services, with free CD copies provided for junior, senior, and graduate recitals
