What's The Process
ADMISSION PROCESS
•No audition or interview required for admission
•Choose Theatre Arts - Performance as your major on the UCO application
•All incoming students complete a short Incoming Student Questionnaire with video submission
PROGRESSION INTERVIEWS
•Annual one-on-one juried progression presentations at the end of each academic year
•Year 1: Perform slate and one-minute contemporary monologue; submit portfolio with headshot, resume, artistic statement of purpose, and character analysis
•Year 2: Two contrasting one-minute monologues (contemporary and classical); expanded portfolio with stage make-up renderings
•Year 3: Dialect monologue with research; improv demonstrating clown/mime and non-linear storytelling
•Year 4: Two contrasting monologues of choice plus juror-selected monologue; acting reel or self-tape; website portfolio
