Training
•Intensive two-year program integrating studio practice, academic study, and individualized research
•Train with fifteen full-time dance faculty in six professional studios
•Present original choreography in campus theaters and innovative spaces including the Experimental Media Performance Lab (xMPL)
•Curriculum includes Graduate Kinesiology for Dance, Musical Resources, Teaching of Dance Techniques, Dance and Video Technology, Graduate Choreography, Movement Analysis, Critical Issues in Dance, Bibliography and Research, and Proseminar in Dance History

•Choreographic work and accompanying thesis paper (most common path)
•Dance pedagogy thesis
•Dance media and technology thesis

•Dance studies thesis (ecology, culture, society, aesthetics, or health and wellness)
•One-hour oral defense required for all theses
