Training
•Seven-course minor: four foundational courses across Analysis & Techniques, Histories & Cultures, and Creative Practices, plus three electives drawn from history, ethnomusicology, theory, or topics offerings such as electronic music and film scoring
•Minors must declare by the end of Spring Quarter of their third year
Performance & Productions
•Minors may join the department's 14 student ensembles alongside majors, including the University Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Motet Choir, and Middle East Music Ensemble
Facilities
•Coursework and rehearsals use Goodspeed Hall's practice rooms and Fulton Recital Hall, plus Logan Center for the Arts spaces including the Jonathan Logan Family Foundation Media Center
Degree Flexibility
•Minor courses cannot be double-counted toward a student's major or another minor, and all coursework must be taken for quality grades
