PROGRAM RECOGNITION

•UCF Department of Theatre is one of 11 Educational Affiliates of Estill Voice International worldwide

•Conservatory training within a liberal arts university

GENERAL
•Each piece filmed/uploaded as a SEPARATE piece of media — no continuous videos
•Standard recording devices accepted (smartphones, tablets, etc.)
•Adhere to Acceptd video, file, and image size restrictions

•One song in full frame, one in close-up (top of head to chest) — student's choice
DANCE FRAMING
•Full frame shot — keep entire person in frame at all times

ELIGIBILITY
•Summer or Fall start required — students are NOT accepted to begin theatre courses in Spring
•All BFA students accepted on provisional basis first year; faculty evaluates continuation (no formal cut system)
•Cannot receive full offer until accepted by the university

What's The Process
PRESCREEN

•Final deadline: January 12, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern
•Submissions reviewed periodically
•No submissions monitored during UCF Winter Break (December 1, 2025 – January 4, 2026)
CALLBACK
•Select students invited to on-campus callbacks
•Callback notification by January 16, 2026
•Three callback dates: January 24, January 31, and February 14, 2026 (Saturdays)
•Students choose the date that best fits their schedule
•Not all students will be called back — some may be accepted directly from video submissions

•Acceptance typically offered by mid-March

Scholarship Info
DEPARTMENTAL SCHOLARSHIPS
•Awarded on basis of talent and potential (not need)
•Competition based on audition, portfolio review, interview, recommendations, GPA, and theatre participation
•Recipients must work 4 hours weekly (60 hours/semester) and maintain 3.0 Theatre GPA
NAMED SCHOLARSHIPS
•Patrick McMahan Memorial Scholarship — for BFA Musical Theatre majors with 3.0+ GPA; separate application, essay, and letter of recommendation required
•Diane and Lawrence Wink Theatre Scholarship — juniors/seniors with 3.5+ Theatre GPA
•Tom Begley/Lani Harris Memorial Scholarship — separate application and essay required
•Mark Brotherton Memorial Scholarship — one full-time junior or senior theatre major (up to $1,000); 3.0+ GPA; preference given to BFA students
