Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Students can perform in named large ensembles — the UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, University Baroque Ensemble, University Chorus, and Chamber Chorus — plus specialized groups including the Berkeley New Music Project's Eco Ensemble, the Balinese and Javanese Gamelan ensembles, the African Music Ensemble.
Notable Alumni
•Bullet: Composers Jimmy López (PhD 2012) and Mason Bates (PhD 2008, studying under faculty composer Edmund Campion) both trained in Berkeley's composition program before building international orchestral careers.
