Audition Requirements
Dance
DANCE CALL
•Audition includes Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Improvisation (approximately 25 minutes each)
•Small Group Discussion (25 minutes)
ATTIRE
•Form-fitting dancewear recommended
•Black leotard or black fitted dance top
•Black, pink, or flesh-colored tights and/or black leggings
•Hair pulled back and neatly secured; no jewelry
FOOTWEAR
•Flat ballet shoes for ballet portion
•Pointe shoes for pointe portion (not required if you do not do pointe)
•Barefoot for modern and improvisation portions
•Jazz shoes for jazz portion
•If you do not own specific shoes for a particular technique, go barefoot or wear socks
Additional Materials
•Submit audition materials via Acceptd application
•After submitting on Acceptd, complete the Program Auditions Registration Form (link sent in confirmation email) to select your audition date
•Both steps must be completed prior to the registration deadline

ON-CAMPUS AUDITIONS
•Held at Clark Hall (third floor), University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa
•Auditionees must be available 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM; precise schedule sent closer to date

Scholarship Info
Dance program scholarships based on academic strengths, financial need, departmental citizenship and technical/artistic ability. Incoming freshmen considered at audition. Upperclassmen apply each spring.
