Application Logistics
•Separate School of Music application required in addition to the university application
•Access the music application via Tiger Portal login credentials
•Students initially enroll in the BA in Music and transition into the BM Music Industry, Recording Technology concentration once program requirements are met (typically by the second year)
•Program requirements: a 2.8+ cumulative institutional GPA and English Composition I & II plus MATH 1730 or 1830 with a C- or better
•Applicants without a primary-instrument background may select "Music Industry No Instrument" and are placed in voice, guitar, or piano lessons
Deadlines
•December 1 — Priority scholarship and spring-entry consideration
•December 7 — Early Action (decisions before winter break)
•March 1 — Full scholarship consideration
•July 1 — Fall-entry application deadline
Placement
•Admitted students complete music theory and aural-skills placement at orientation — for course placement only, not admission
