Application Logistics
•Bullet: Separate School of Music application required in addition to the university application
•Bullet: Access the music application via Tiger Portal login credentials
•Bullet: Students initially enroll in the BA in Music and transition into the BM Music Industry, Recording Technology concentration once program requirements are met (typically by the second year)
•Bullet: Program requirements: a 2.8+ cumulative institutional GPA and English Composition I & II plus MATH 1730 or 1830 with a C- or better
•Bullet: Applicants without a primary-instrument background may select "Music Industry No Instrument" and are placed in voice, guitar, or piano lessons
Deadlines
•Bullet: December 1 — Priority scholarship and spring-entry consideration
•Bullet: December 7 — Early Action (decisions before winter break)
•Bullet: March 1 — Full scholarship consideration
•Bullet: July 1 — Fall-entry application deadline
Placement
•Bullet: Admitted students complete music theory and aural-skills placement at orientation — for course placement only, not admission
