Audition Process
•Bullet: Apply to the University of Memphis through the general admissions portal
•Bullet: Complete the separate School of Music application using Tiger Portal login credentials
•Bullet: Select a preferred audition date and format during the music application
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: Approximately 10 minutes for the undergraduate audition
•Bullet: On-campus, virtual (Zoom), or individual appointment options available
•Bullet: May be asked to perform all or a portion of prepared pieces, play scales, and sight-read
•Bullet: Commercial Music applicants audition on voice or a commercial instrument
Decisions
•Bullet: Audition results emailed 1-2 weeks after the audition day
•Bullet: Students must be admitted to the university before a School of Music decision is rendered
