Training
•Bullet: The six-unit minor combines music, engineering, acoustics, electronics, instrument design, and a mentored final project.
•Bullet: It is available to students in both the School of Engineering and the School of Arts and Sciences.
Degree Flexibility
•Bullet: Students may shape the curriculum around Sound Recording and Production, Electronic Instrument Design, or Acoustic Instrument Design.
•Bullet: Each pathway culminates in a project approved and mentored by a minor faculty adviser.
Admissions
•Bullet: The minor is planned and declared after enrollment; it has no separate first-year artistic audition or portfolio requirement.
