Interdisciplinary Study
•The six-unit minor combines music, engineering, acoustics, electronics, instrument design, and a mentored final project.
•It is available to students in both the School of Engineering and the School of Arts and Sciences.
Emphases
•Students may shape the curriculum around Sound Recording and Production, Electronic Instrument Design, or Acoustic Instrument Design.
•Each pathway culminates in a project approved and mentored by a minor faculty adviser.
Admissions
•The minor is planned and declared after enrollment; it has no separate first-year artistic audition or portfolio requirement.
