Prescreen Requirements

PORTFOLIO (required)

5-10 pictures of design, lighting, or other theatrical work
May include a link to a webpage showcasing work
Caption images with dates, your role, material represented, extent of collaboration, and skills used
Include process photos, final production photos, relevant paperwork (renderings, drafting, cue sheets, sketches)
For Stage Managers: SM bible, ASM paperwork, etc.
Keep formatting simple, tidy, and uncluttered
Title file as: LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_PortfolioYEAR

resume (required)

Include information about productions for which you provided design and related work
Limit to 1 page

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE (required)

No more than 750 words
Describe your interest in theatre design/technology/management
Discuss your interest in the BFA degree specifically, future career goals, and additional context

BFA Design students experience all areas of design and production through studio courses
Students are expected to realize work through significant roles on departmental productions each semester

PORTFOLIO REVIEW & INTERVIEW

Submit portfolio, resume, and statement of purpose via Acceptd
After submission, you will be invited to an on-campus or virtual interview with design faculty
Interview scheduled individually within two weeks of application submission
