Prescreen Requirements

Songs
MTCP Song Option B:
-One musical theater song from any time period
-One contrasting song of your choice (any style)
-60-90 seconds each
Monologues
MTCP Monologue Option B:
-One contemporary monologue (written after 1950)
-One classical monologue (written before 1950, heightened language)
-60-90 seconds each
Dance
MTCP Dance Option A:
-Dance/movement video required
-Must include at least one turn, one jump, and one kick
-Or suitable rotation, elevation, and extension
-60-90 seconds
Ballet
MTCP Ballet Option C:
-Ballet not required
Wildcard / Special Skill (Optional)

OPTIONAL WILD CARD (per MTCP)

Submissions should be no more than 60 seconds
Can be ANYTHING: a special skill, an interesting story, a poem, something self-authored, an instrument you play, etc.
Submission Specifications

VIDEO FORMAT

Each piece must be filmed and uploaded as a separate file
Slate at the beginning of each piece with your name, title, and playwright/composer
Songs: 3/4 shot (head to knees)
Contemporary monologue: close-up shot (head to chest)
Classical monologue: full body shot (head to feet)
Dance: full body shot, form-fitting clothing
Additional Materials

HEADSHOT

THEATRE RESUME (required)

No more than 1 page in length

WRITTEN COMPOSITION (required)

1-2 pages in length
Include information about your desire to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre at Texas Tech
