Audition Format
•Full-day workshop audition at Laban Building, London
•All applicants participate in the full day in a positive and friendly atmosphere
•Assessment based on engagement, response to tasks, and ability to respond to feedback
•Applicants for BA Contemporary Dance and BA Contemporary Dance with Foundation Year attend the same audition
In-Person Audition
•Release-based warm-up and technique class
•Creative workshop
•One additional class of your choice (Ballet or Hip Hop)
•Individual interview with the panel
Recorded Audition (Embark)
•Available for applicants unable to attend in person
•Submit three videos via Embark:
-Creative Task: 1-minute solo in silence responding to provided video prompts
-Contemporary Technique 1 exercises (front-facing)
-Choice of Contemporary Technique 2, Ballet, or Hip Hop exercises
•Watch the instructional videos in advance before recording
